On 9th of April in the country has started Demonstration Processes, this was arranged much earlier as a result of internal political situation. Main source of this protests takes its start since 7th November 2007, when peaceful demonstrates were raided by the special army, this was followed by some internal political instability and crisis, falsified early 2008 presidential and parliamentary elections, several Televisions were closed, Humiliation of freedom of media, failure in Russian Georgian conflict, as a result lose of Many Georgian Villages, unacceptable sail of some of the States prosperity etc. This demonstration last until now thousands of people are involved and support main aim of the Demonstration President Should retire, at the moment there are some negotiation processes between governmental bodies and the oppositional side.

On the 12th of May Organisation had fifth national Congress, preparation of the congress started in September 2008, and many obstacles especially financial but anyway organisation succeeded with the Congress. There was invited 230 delegates and guests and the 205 has arrived, congress has adopted new Manifesto, preparation of which had been lasting since September 2008, Manifesto includes five main topics, organisational values, how do young socialists of Georgia see States role and policy in environmental issues, Youth Politics, social Politics and Foreign Politics and State security. Each Topic had its working groups who were organising open meetings with the experts, students from different universities and were discussing how it should be. Organisation has created two main Regional Branches in two cities of Georgia Gori and Qutaisi, Congress has elected new President, Vice Presidents, National Board and the new structure of the Organisation, and has adopted new Action Plan for the year. Organisation has discussed political situation in and supports people on the demonstration, decision was made in a very democratic way discussed by its members in Tbilisi and in regions as well.

Topics should be mentioned: Human rights and rule of low, freedom of expression and freedom of media, political parties and civil organizations, gander issues, youth participation, etc.





Human Rights are not protected in most situations on Georgia there is no clear rule of law, there are many facts of violation of Human Rights, several facts of illegal murders which are not fully investigated even yet, several facts of violation concerning private property rights of the citizens. There was some facts when government illegally confiscation citizens property, court is not independence and practically have no opportunity to make decisions buy themselves.

Nowadays in Georgia it is serious problem of media freedom, three strongest television has pro-governmental administrations and they have broadcasting in whole Georgia. Georgian public broadcasting is under control of government. there are two independence television which broadcasts only in Tbilisi and influence oppositions interests with no secrets. Several televisions were closed, as a result of their not Pro-governmental administrations, one of the biggest break of low from over government was invaded of independence television which was closed more than a month. Owner of this Television was a presidential Candidate on Presidential elections 2008. That was the fact which affected badly on the countries democratic image.

During the Demonstrations which started on 9th of April governmental structures refused to attend their duties properly, in most cases policy didn’t appear on the right place and right time, City Hall didn’t made its cleaning service to attend their duties etc. Those are facts of violation of Human and citizens rights.

At the moment there are three Political Parties in the Parliament, governmental party National Movement minority party Christian Democrats of Georgia and Labour Party of Georgia, although there is e few representatives from other oppositional parties. Labour Party of Georgia set up a boycott against parliament and although labour party take part of the opposition’s demonstrations but they aren’t member of the leadership, practically they have no force to make some reality decisions. As for the rest of oppositions parties are together and make decisions in accord.

Youth Participation in Country Politics is essential for development of Social ideas and transformation,State should identify youth politics as a priority, there should be created mechanisms which will support financially and ideologically to the Increase of Youth participation, youth politics and organizational activities.
One of the main priority of States Politics should be employment of the Youth
In Georgia there is no proper interest and attention to the Youth Politics, that’s mainly because our country has a lot of other social economical, political problems, one of the biggest problem concerns to territorial integrity
Youth of Georgia is interested in this problems and tries to be actively involved.
However we can observe very week participation of youth in latest political events
Now what about the gender equality in parliament there comity which woks on gender equality problems in Georgia in fact it doesn’t work. One of the main problems about this matter is that in parliament women consists just 6%.
